Creating Value :: Paper

Paper choice. It's an important part of what pushes your work towards sophistication and something your client can value. Some of the considerations when choosing paper are its weight, color and texture, or/and taking it a step further by understanding the paper manufacturer's history and culture.

You can make paper choice a playful exercise and surprise yourself! On these self-promo letterpress cards, I hand set the same three font styles printed on cardstock which rendered a kiss impression. Cardstock choices included textured and non, recycled, light and heavy weight. Ink choice was also a consideration; I experimented with the same two color combinations on different paper to capture subtle differences.

The process of choosing your paper is a mindful one and delight for its end users as a finished product--a win-win situation!
